ASML Boiler Plant Upgrades
Replacing While Running
Working Around Existing Infrastructure
We faced a unique challenge: replace two existing 100HP boilers with five new high-efficiency ones, without shutting down the ASML boiler plant, which had to be continuously running while the work was taking place. We would need to carefully work around the current system while installing the new one.

Proactive Planning Makes A Difference
To ensure precise calculations, we 3D-scanned the area of the building we were working in. This allowed us to see all the current mechanical work in great detail from different perspectives, then carefully adjust the new work to fit in and around existing spaces and equipment.
While the client was used to 2D drawings and a “wait and see” approach to issues, we were able to visualize challenges ahead of time, allowing for a more proactive approach that saved time and addressed problems before they happened. This let us install the five new boilers without ever shutting down the two old ones, keeping the plant running 24/7.
“With our unique approach to BIM software, we were able to help the client accurately predict what would happen before they started building! This majorly improved our overall efficiency and it allowed the client to seamlessly add or adjust connections as we went along.”
